  Dog Boarding
Here in Passaic County at the Clip Shoppe we offer you and your dog a better boarding experience. During your dog’s stay we do everything to make your dog comfortable and stress free as possible. The dog’s runs are large, clean, and temperature controlled with lots of natural light. They all get one-on-one playtime with a handler 3 to 4 times a day in our large outdoor play areas.

A few highlights of our dog boarding include:
• Climate controlled
• Large indoor kennels
• Accommodations with soothing music and sound machines
• Playtime at no additional cost
• Extra care for special need dogs
• Professional grooming

Your dog will be treated as one of our own. Our staff frequently checks in on each guest to pamper them. We go out of our way to make their stay as comfortable as possible by comforting any that appear sad or that may be missing their human family. We do our best to ensure that our guests leave happy.

Vaccine Requirements
The health and safety of each of our dogs is very important to us. All dogs must have current vaccinations for the following:

Rabies
DHLPP (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza and parvovirus)
Bordetella
Canine Influenza*

Certification from a veterinarian is required for all dogs before boarding can be allowed. If your dog requires an updated vaccination please make arrangements for the vaccination to be administered no less than ten days before any boarding time is scheduled.

Puppies must complete the full series of vaccinations including the rabies vaccine no less than ten days prior to their scheduled stay.

Titers will be accepted with proper documentation.

*This vaccine is not a requirement; however, we highly recommend all dogs that board or are professionally groomed receive this vaccination. Please consult with your veterinarian to make the best decision for your dog.

Special Needs
The highly trained staff at the Clip Shoppe understands that all of our pets may have special needs at one time or another. Please feel free to discuss any special requirements with us when you make your reservation. We will do everything in our power to make sure your pet is provided for.

Samplings of accommodations are medications, supplements, and special meal preparation. Our staff can administer any oral or topical medications your dog or cat may require during their visit. Injections cannot be accommodated.

A veterinarian is on call 24 hours a day in case of emergency. If your pet should require medical attention while in our care our procedure is to contact you first, then your veterinarian. Should the nature of your pet's illness require an office visit we reserve the right to utilize our on-call veterinarian (this decision depends on the illness and the travel time to your veterinarian).

Provisions for Your Pet
We provide soft, comfy bedding on a raised cot and play soft music 24 hours a day. Our indoor facility is fully air conditioned and heated.

Your dog will be taken outside at least 3 to 4 times a day with a handler. They can play and run, off-leash, in our large outdoor fenced-in yards.

You should provide food and treats for your pet’s stay with plenty of extra just in case you are delayed or extend your stay. We prefer for you to bring your pet’s food and treats so they stay on their diet and do not get upset stomachs. No rawhide treats please, as they can be a choking hazard!

You may bring bedding and toys from home to make your pets stay more comfortable and fun, but please limit the amount that you bring. When possible, label all of your pet’s belongings. It is also nice to bring something that you have worn, something with your scent on it to leave in the kennel with your pet. A t-shirt or hand towel work great.

Please do not bring feeding bowls, water bowls, or measuring cups.
